By downloading, installing, or using Pooey ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Pooey ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
Pooey is a digestive health tracking application that allows you to:
- Log and track bowel movements using the Bristol Stool Scale
- Record associated data such as food intake, symptoms, and mood
- Receive AI-powered insights about your digestive patterns
- Care for a virtual pet companion that grows with your tracking habits
- Export health reports for personal use or to share with healthcare providers

Pooey is not a medical device and is intended for informational and educational purposes only. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for any health concerns. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information from this App.
3. User Responsibilities
By using Pooey, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using the App
- Use the App only for its intended purpose of personal health tracking
- Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
- Keep your device and any exported data secure
4. Age Requirements
Pooey is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier
Pooey offers a free tier with limited features. No payment is required for the free tier.
Premium Subscriptions
Pooey Pro is available as:
- Monthly subscription: Billed monthly at the current rate
- Yearly subscription: Billed annually at a discounted rate
- Lifetime purchase: One-time payment for permanent access
Billing
- All payments are processed through Apple's App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
- Prices may vary by region and are subject to change
6. Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store policies. To request a refund:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Select the purchase and request a refund
We cannot process refunds directly as all payments go through Apple.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Pooey, including but not limited to:
- The Pooey character and pet designs
- App interface and visual design
- Software code and algorithms
- Text, graphics, logos, and icons
are owned by Pooey and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8. Your Data
Your health data belongs to you. As described in our Privacy Policy:
- All personal health data is stored locally on your device
- We do not have access to your health logs or personal information
- You can export or delete your data at any time
- Data synced via iCloud is governed by Apple's privacy policies
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Pooey is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Correction of defects or errors
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pooey shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Personal injury or health outcomes related to use of the App
- Actions taken based on information provided by the App
Our total liability for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We will update the "Last updated" date
- For material changes, we will notify you through the App
- Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
12. Termination
You may stop using Pooey at any time by deleting the App. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ends immediately
- Data stored locally on your device remains until you delete the App
- Provisions that should survive termination (such as limitations of liability) will remain in effect
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pooey operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
